London 16 June 2016: India’s start up sector is booming, attracting billions in venture capital. But can these tech-driven businesses meet India’s economic and social needs?

The digital transformation of India will be a central theme at this year’s Codex summit in London.  Alivecor, which is regarded as one of the 50 most innovative companies in the world by MIT Tech Review, will present, how a 100 dollar heart monitor attached to a smartphone can revolutionise healthcare.

India has ambitious plans to build 100 smart cities. Experts from Arup and Accenture will explain how this can be done, and the opportunities for international companies in the Indian market.

Rakesh Rawal, CEO, Codex said: “Codex is proud to present the most significant India Summit of 2016, to debate if technology can fix India’s problems and transform India on a scale that’s probably unmatched in human history.”

Codex is looking forward to welcoming back the Rt Hon John Redwood MP, who will explain how the Modi government has performed over the last 2 years. Joining him as keynote speakers will be James Crabtree from the Financial Times, and Mihir Sharma from the Bloomberg View, both India’s foremost business commentators.
