Arts For India Charity presents ‘Supporting the Arts’ at BAFTA, 195 Piccadilly, London

(PRESS RELEASE) 02/04/2018 London.

Arts for India charity is proud to present ‘Supporting the Arts’ at BAFTA, 195, Piccadilly, London on the 24th May 2018.

Through this event, we hope to garner support from philanthropists, individuals, and organizations to help provide higher education to underprivileged young artists in India.
As higher education is not free in India, the lower income strata of the Indian population, who has limited means, is unable to educate and train their children in good colleges. Moreover, there
is a gender bias against girls and thus children, especially girls, from poor families do not get the opportunities that can help them build careers and lead a better life.

Arts for India wants to empower poor students with education in art, fashion, and cinema – that would give them the knowledge, skill, and encouragement to earn a decent living and get the
society’s respect that they deserve.

To help the needy and underprivileged students, Arts for India organizes events across major cities to raise funds to sponsor free education at the International Institute of Fine Arts, India.

Arts for India, a charity registered in the United Kingdom (UK registration number: 1137824), has been established with a number of specific aims to support underprivileged young artists in India. The charity has also been launched in Switzerland, USA and Hong Kong.

The charity is given educational support by the Royal Drawing School, London and the Zurich University of the Arts, Zurich. Arts for India has a collaboration with the Columbia University
School of the Arts, USA. Columbia University will be sending faculty to the International Institute of Fine Arts, India, to teach television and screenwriting.
