Welcome to the Angel Film Awards – Monaco International Film Festival and to be part of an amazing worldwide community celebrating peace love and the art of making movies and a unique collaboration of multi-talented writers, film score composers, and filmmakers, producers and musicians.
The Angel Film Awards is one of the most prestigious film awards in Europe held in the Principality of Monaco known as an elegant and glitzy affair, gaining it the reputation of the jewel in the crown of the International film festival circuit.

It is the only film festival in the world to promote Global Peace, Cultural Harmony, and Entertainment Unity, by far the most powerful medium on earth.

“Peace on Earth”, is obtained by actions, words and deeds.

The AFA-MIFF previous winners have gained distribution deals and have secured film finance through the festival.

We honor those artists who, through their creative work, actively increase awareness, provide multiple viewpoints, address complex social issues, and strengthen ties between international audiences and the Angel Film Awards. An inspiring & intimate platform together with other writers, directors, and producers in Monte Carlo to create new opportunities, develop tools for success and forge new alliances within the international film and entertainment industry.

The Festival founders Rosana Golden (festival director/producer & artistic director) and Dean Bentley  (festival executive producer – director of programming), their goal and purpose to showcase non-violent films in a world that is too often dominated by violence, and to encourage new, young and mature filmmaking talent.

The AFA-MIFF may eschew violence but this is no hippy dippy affair. It attracts some important names from the music and film industry for its message joining the elegant events with post-screening VIP champagne networking receptions at some of the best hotels and clubs in Monaco.

All official selected films will be screened at the Art Novo Theatre Monte Carlo. The festival’s master of ceremony calling on stage director, cast or producer for Q & A (question & answer) sessions on behalf of each film – live talk – to the audience and to official jury board members.

AFA-MIFF 14 Genre are: Action (comedy); Animation (adventure, comedy, family, fantasy); Comedy (romance, action); Family (adventure, comedy, fantasy, romance); Film-Noir ( mystery, romance, thriller); Musical (comedy, history, romance); Sport (biography, comedy, documentary); Adventure (biography, thriller); Drama (romance, film noir, musical, war); Fantasy (adventure, comedy, drama, romance); Mystery (adventure, comedy); Sci-Fi (animation, comedy, family); Music (biography, documentary, drama); Thriller (comedy, mystery).

The AFA-MIFF runs annual short & feature script competition alongside all official movie entries. The officially selected film and the script will be contacted by the festival shortly after October 15th festival deadline.

The AFA – MIFF selection committee is made up of acclaimed international industry professionals, directors, producers, cinematographers, screenplay writers, film journalists, actors, and the AFA founders. Votes cast decide the finalists and winners in many categories to compete for 38-awards.
